Everyone has their own journey with Christ. Some may have found Him very early on in their lives while a few may have found them a little later on, some might not have even found Him yet and that is fine. We all have our own journey, own paths, own stories and struggles but our common point is that we are all striving to reach the Lord.

In this life, we will learn things in our own ways as we are tossed and turned in every single different direction but if there’s anything for sure, there are certain things that we must equip ourselves on our journey with Jesus. These are:

Faith

Proverbs 3:5–6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. Acknowledge him in all your ways, and he will make your paths straight.

Not everyone may understand us, our beliefs or our actions. Many people have dedicated their lives to proving our purpose wrong but through faith, the Lord will always guide us.

Strength

James 1:2-4 Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.

We have been told of a life of trials and tribulations as we venture to the Lord but all these struggles are things that we should be grateful for as the will make us strong and these are, as hard as they are to believe, blessings from Christ.

The Holy Spirit

John 14:16 I will ask the Father to give you another Helper, to be with you always.

The Lord has blessed us with Holy Spirit to guide us. We should always seek for His divine intervention through constant prayer and the Bible, who are both always speaking to us.

Constant Prayer

Luke 18:1 Jesus told his disciples a parable about their need to pray all the time and never give up.

The Bible

Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

Discipleship

Philippians 1:6 I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

No man is an army and it is also our duties and Christians, on this journey, to bring others with us on this path.

How are our journeys with Christ so far?

Wilson Alvarez, a lover of Jesus Christ had an early experience where he had a vision of the Risen Lord & instantaneously became a believer at the prime age of 3. Through out his young life, he always felt protection and blessings and even though was not walking with the Lord, always acknowledged his blessings. It was when he turned 30, that he became a follower and prayed based on John 3:3 – “In order to enter the Kingdom of God, you must be born again.” Mr. Alvarez enjoys Men’s ministries and is active in the prison ministry movement where he gives weekly leadership and christian talks.
