Matthew 24:1-51 – Jesus left the temple and was going away when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple. But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not? Expecting the Unexpected is essential to life. There are many times in our life when something suddenly happens and changes everything. Learning to trust God and know that he gives you the strength to endure all life’s challenges is important to living a fulfilled life.

Unexpected events during your lifetime can be positive or negative. Surely you have many moments in your life that something unexpected happened that improved your life. Maybe you got a job offer out of the blue or you got news that you are going to be a parent? The wonderful unexpected events in life always surprise us and fill our lives with joy.

While positive unexpected things are great, negative ones are more difficult to accept. Life events happen suddenly such as car accidents, illness and worse. These negative experiences are often difficult to deal with especially if you are not emotionally or mentally prepared to handle harsh events.

Expecting the unexpected and preparing yourself ahead of time to handle any issues or situations that arise during your lifetime is essential to living a good life. It’s not a secret that life has ups and downs, the important part is to learn how to navigate through these moments with a trusting soul.

Faith in God helps you feel comforted, confident and strong to handle life events. Working on strengthening your bond and relationship with God will help you remain calm and focused when something unexpected happens in your life. Expecting the unexpected and preparing ahead of time allows you to have confidence handling things that come your way. Remember Jesus’ promises and learn to expect the unexpected.

Wilson Alvarez, a lover of Jesus Christ had an early experience where he had a vision of the Risen Lord & instantaneously became a believer at the prime age of 3. Through out his young life, he always felt protection and blessings and even though was not walking with the Lord, always acknowledged his blessings. It was when he turned 30, that he became a follower and prayed based on John 3:3 – “In order to enter the Kingdom of God, you must be born again.” Mr. Alvarez enjoys Men’s ministries and is active in the prison ministry movement where he gives weekly leadership and christian talks.
