Ecclesiastes 3:2-8 “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing.”

As the scripture above says, “For everything, there is a season.” What season are you in right now? Are you in a season filled with peace and happiness? Or, darkness? There are plenty of season in between. However, if you are in a season of hardship have faith in the Lord that you will come through it stronger than ever before.

We go through phases in our lives when we are tested. We might not like being tested but it is a necessary part of life. Can you think back to a moment in your life when you were tested? What was the outcome? Did you emerge from the experience learning something new?

Most of us who get through tests and hardships in life emerge smarter and stronger than before. It also gives us the knowledge to help others who might be experiencing the same thing we went through.

Life is about balance and seasons. For example, if you spent the past few weeks only working day and night without doing anything else except sleep, eat and shower, chances are your life is out of balance. There is a time for work and a time for play. A time to share the word and a time to set a good example.

As Christians, we are confronted with the responsibility to the Lord to spread the word, but often times come up against obstacles. Our intentions are good but the receiver of our words are not always accepting. This is when we have to choose which way our words will benefit the receiver. Should we choose to continue speaking the word or focus on setting a good example? Each situation is different.

There is a balance in life that needs to be established by all of us. In today’s society, we tend to work too much and spend less time with the Lord. It’s essential for our well being to find the time for all of the important things in our lives. Get started creating balance in your life today!

Throughout his young life, he always felt protection and blessings and even though was not walking with the Lord, always acknowledged his blessings. It was when he turned 30, that he became a follower and prayed based on John 3:3 – “In order to enter the Kingdom of God, you must be born again.” Mr. Alvarez enjoys Men’s ministries and is active in the prison ministry movement where he gives weekly leadership and christian talks.
