“Lift up your eyes to the sky, Then look to the earth beneath; For the sky will vanish like smoke, And the earth will wear out like a garment And its inhabitants will die in like manner; But My salvation will be forever, And My righteousness will not wane.
Have you ever heard the saying “life is short”? It’s a common saying meaning that our time here on earth is limited. Before we know it we reach old age and our life has passed us by so quickly. While life here on earth is considered to be short, eternity isn’t. The following scriptures will explain more about eternity.
For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it passes by, Or as a watch in the night.
But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.

“Trust in the LORD forever, For in GOD the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock.
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become weary or tired His understanding is inscrutable.
as it is written, “HE SCATTERED ABROAD, HE GAVE TO THE POOR, HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS ENDURES FOREVER.”
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, From everlasting even to everlasting Then all the people said, “Amen,” and praised the LORD.
but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
“Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.
